Martin Vickers MP
Martin was born, raised and educated in Cleethorpes, the constituency he is now privileged to represent. He is passionate about his hometown and surrounding area and served 26 years as a councillor, including six years as the Cabinet Member for Environmental Services.
First elected to Parliament in May 2010, Martin has served on the Transport Select Committee and the Health and Social Care Select Committee but more recently has focused on trade, joining the International Trade Committee in March 2020.
Throughout his parliamentary career, Martin has taken a keen interest in the Western Balkans. He is the Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Groups for Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia and in October 2020 was appointed as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to the region. Martin also takes a keen interest in infrastructure matters and chairs two prominent APPGs: the APPG for Freeports and the APPG for Rail.
